HOW TO RECYCLE YOUR ECOBINS

Ecobins are made from a recycled material called polypropylene, which makes them infinitely recyclable.

So when your Ecobin reaches the end of its long life, it's not waste, it's a resource!

Obviously this is only true when they're recycled properly, so here are some options to aid in the reincarnation of your Ecobin:

Kerbside Recycling

As polypropylene is highly recyclable, your Ecobin can be popped into your kerbside Mixed Recycling bin most of the time.
Unfortunately this does differ from council to council though so make sure to check before you toss!

If you are one of the unlucky few who aren't allowed to recycle PP through your normal kerbside collection then fret not! There are plenty of places around Australia that collect and recycle this material for you. A quick google of "polypropylene recycling near me" will bring up some local options, but we also recommend reaching out to your local council to see if they know of any local programs

Or... send them back to us!

If you can't find a local solution then feel free to send them back to us! We'll make sure they're recycled correctly and we'll give them a second (or third or fourth or fifth) life as an Ecobin!
